Bandit's sire, Al-Marah Quebec+ is today's closest representative of the prized Rissalix blood that was in that importation. His sire was a Nationals winner both in Park and Fine Harness and his dam was a daughter of AM Sea Captain++.
He was the first U.S. stallion to be accepted into the American Trakehner Registry. Their
Inspector said this of him: "balanced and harmonious, good depth at girth, tracked up well, covered ground, good trot, rhythm with good use of hocks and knees, willing and athletic, with an excellent temperament and manner-exhibiting good ride ability.
Quebec+ spent most of his life as one of the two lead performance horses in the Arabian Nights Dinner Attraction as the mount of the Prince. This meant a lot of dressage training and on the weekends his trainer occasionally slipped away and won with him in open competition. Eventually he was U.S. Reserve National Champion
in Level 4 Dressage. His own special act is 3rd Level Dressage without a bridle.
His dam, AM Sea Angel is a full sibling to Al-Marah Horatio.
In spite of the competition from his half brother AM Good Oldboy, Al-Marah Horatio has
won consistently in both Western Pleasure and even more as a Reining horse. He started
off winning the Reining at Scottsdale and was Reserve Champion at the Region 1 Regional's and Top Ten at the Canadian Nationals. The following year he was Region 8 Champion Reining Horse and Region 7 Reserve Champion and again Reserve Canadian National Champion.
In 2000 he was again Top Ten Canadian Nationals and received wins in Trail Horse classes. In 2002 he was Region 8 Top Five Reining Horse and Top Ten at Canadian Nationals and Top Ten at the U.S. Nationals.
He represents some rare bloodlines in the Al-Marah herd as he is the grandson of Ibnindraff of Al-Marah, he by Al-Marah Indraff out of a *Raseyn mare. His tail female goes back to the best of the old Al-Marah breeding and with a cross to the Rissalix son, *Ranix.
Bandit stands at 15 hh. He was started by Eddie Ralston and then had 60 days reining training. He is a very good mover and could excel in several different disciplines. Bandit is calm and very good natured. He will make a great youth horse.
